Demo Booking Terms & Conditions
RISK WARNING: RECREATIONAL ACTIVITIES (INCLUDING SKIING, SNOWBOARDING, USING LIFTS AND TO A LESSER DEGREE HIKING) INVOLVE A SIGNIFICANT RISK OF PHYSICAL HARM OR PERSONAL INJURY INCLUDING PERMANENT DISABILITY AND/OR DEATH TO PARTICIPANTS. ANY SUCH INJURY MAY RESULT NOT ONLY FROM YOUR ACTIONS BUT FROM THE ACTION, OMISSION OR NEGLIGENCE OF OTHERS.
Do I need my own equipment? All you need to bring is your ski boots and ski poles. Your Rossignol demo booking includes your selected Rossignol skis for the duration that you select.
What happens in the event of bad weather? Your safety is our number one priority and we will always pass on the recommendations from Thredbo’s Mountain Safety team to our guests. We strongly recommend that you check the Thredbo Weather reports in the morning if you have any concerns.
Is demo equipment availability limited? Yes, we only have a limited range in our demo collection. We strongly recommend booking your skis in early to avoid any disappointment.
What if I want to buy the skis after my demo session? Great! When you head back into the Rossignol Demo Centre, our team will finalise that purchase for you so you can continue to ski on your new favourites! Alternatively, you can always visit one of our authorised retail partners to purchase.
Does the cost of my demo come off the final purchase price? Yes, that’s right! If you decide to purchase your skis after your demo session, the cost of your demo session will be deducted from the total purchase price. Only applicable if purchased in the Thredbo Rossignol Demo store on the day of returning your skis.
Why do I need to give so many details? We ask that you please provide the requested information to correctly set your safety release settings.
What happens if I damage or lose the skis? If you damage the skis you will be liable for any costs incurred to repair/replace them.
How am I fitted to the skis? Our expert team will set your unique safety release settings based on the information you provide in your booking form. Our team will discuss with you on the day to make sure you’re comfortable and confident the process.

- if I have rented:

- Rental equipment is non-refundable.
- Rental equipment is non-transferrable to another date, person or season.
- no refund or part thereof will be given for early return of goods.
I agree:
- To compensate Phoenix Leisure Group for its loss (up to the full reinstatement value of the equipment) if I do not return the rented equipment (whether due to loss, theft or any other reason) or if the equipment suffers abnormal damage during the period of rental, whether such damaged occurred while it was in my possession or not;
- fully indemnify and keep indemnified Phoenix Leisure Group, its employees and agents from and against all claims, losses, expenses or damages which arise in any way in connection with the rented equipment, including loss, damage or injury to any other person (or their death);

Where we have reason to believe that a season lift pass has been transferred to another person, no refund will be provided or credit payable for the purchase price of the cancelled pass, even if a portion of the pass remains unused.
Know the Code. It’s your responsibility.
There are inherent risks in all snow recreational activities. Common sense, staying in control and personal awareness can reduce these risks. Risks include rapid changes in weather, visibility and surface conditions, as well as natural and artificial hazards such as rocks, trees, stumps, vehicles, lift towers, snow fences and snowmaking equipment. Observe the code and ski and ride with courtesy to others.
- Stay in control and avoid other people and hazards.
- Use appropriate protective equipment, especially helmets, to minimise the risk of injury.
- You must have the ability to use each lift safely. If in doubt ask the lift attendant.
- Obey all signs and warnings, and keep off closed trails and areas.
- It is your responsibility to avoid and give way to people below and beside you.
- Do not stop where you are not visible from above or where you obstruct a trail.
- Before starting downhill, or merging into a trail, look uphill and give way to others.
- Use care to prevent runaway snowboards.
- If you are involved in or see an accident, alert and identify yourself to Resort Staff.
- Be aware that it is dangerous to ski, board or ride lifts if your ability is impaired by drugs or alcohol.
